Le hubby more so. Both of us had trouble ordering from the menu cos everything was so healthy. Too healthy that it's scaring us. HAHAHHAHA! Also there's lots of those vegan ingredients which both of us were like -__-????

But thank God we managed to order 2 dishes off the menu. I had spaghetti with mushrooms (super safe choice) and he had some steak burger which obviously didn't have any beef in it. 

Had to leave early cos he got recalled back to camp for his reservice. Kua kua kua. 

Anyway, had a fun time! Now I am feeling wide awake cos it's 8am in LA now. Deng Deng Deng.

Bridesmaids Meetup House Party

[24 August 2013, Saturday]

Last month we had a casual bridesmaids meetup session. I just want to gather everyone together because I've been so busy with work and it's been a long time since I see the whole group together (in fact, the last time we all gathered was my birthday in October last year!)

I love parties and I absolutely love hosting and organizing one! The theme for the party was "Summer Fun" and I bought little food warmers from Giant to give it a more "professional caterer" look. I did not cook the food of course, I am not a good cook. I asked Nathaniel to help me tabao. ^_^

I made potato salad, jelly cups, sandwiches and Caesar Salad!

Everyone helping me fluff up pom poms for the decoration at church. It looks difficult to make a tulle pom pom, but trust me.. it's super easy! You just need to have a pair of scissors, a piece of cardboard and string! =)

Jace's boyfriend Nicholas came to my house for the first time and he was very impressed with the way I hosted the party cos there's a theme, plenty of food and decorations.. Hahahaha!

I am so happy and blessed that I get along well with his sisters and I love them like my own little sister, though with not as much protectiveness because our age gap is closer (they are 2-3yrs younger than me) and my sister is 7yrs younger. I always thank God for blessing me with Le bf's family. I told Le bf it's like buying an action figure at the toy store and going home realizing that there's 4 extra figures inside and all 5 of them are perfectly what you always wanted! :) It's not easy getting along with people, especially with your other half's family.. but I am extremely blessed!

Tim is not part of the bridal party but he wanna come and kpoh on the actual day. He has so many evil ideas on the gatecrash! Hahahahahha!

These two ladies are the main rah rah girls in the group. With their combined power & voices, it's like 10 "normal bridesmaids". They are the face of the gatecrash attack. Hahahahaha!

It's my sister's first time as a bridesmaid and she's ultra excited.. mainly because it's my wedding! :) I am glad she gets along well with Le bf and his sisters. In fact she ADORES him! I think if Le bf and I quarrel in future she may side him instead! LOL!

Bride & Groom

Le bf is the most patient and loving person I've ever been with and that's the reason why I am happily & willingly marrying him!! He really puts up with my stress outbursts and meltdowns when I am overwhelmed by the wedding preparations. It is not easy putting up with a perfectionist planner who wants to be in control of every little details and she doesn't have enough sleep due to work schedules.. Grouchy, grumpy, highly-strung. That's me. Yes, I am a Bridezilla but the mild one.. not the explosive type. Thank God Le bf is so understanding and sweet.

Nathaniel is my bride's attendant and he's also my main coordinator for the event. His role and responsibility is HUGE and I trust him because he is always my wingman during my parties. He's also the most enthusiastic person in my bridal party who messaged me everyday asking for updates on the wedding preparations and helping me with a lot of stuff -- most importantly he found me my bridal dress cos he recommended Silhouette to me (he wants credit for this. LOL!)

After everyone left she slept on the sofa cushion. She is super exhausted cos she spent the whole afternoon running around and playing with everyone. She loves parties more than me cos she loves cosying up to people and sitting on people's laps and being stroked and complimented. Yes, she's super vain. She loves it when you tell her "Chloe you are so cute! Chloe! Your fur so nice!". Hahahahahhaa!

Next meetup will be my Hen's Party! I've already laid the ground rules.. No boys (except Nathaniel), no strippers, no alcohol and no hanky-panky.

Sounds like a boring Hen's Party hor? But I never believed in those alcohol fuel Hen's night cos it's so unladylike. A Hen's Party is for the bridemaids to bond together and to honour the bride to be.. not trapeze through pubs and clubs and drink shots, get drunk & wasted and do stupid stunts and dares with other men who are complete strangers. You wouldn't do that when you are attached, let alone before getting married! I never understood the concept of having to "Be wild for one night for the last time". If you wanna be wild, stay single and go wild. Please respect yourself and also your future husband. My question to those brides are.. will you show the pictures or videos of the wild Hen's Night you had to your husband to be? Mother? Mother-in-law? Everyone who knows you? I rest my case.

By the way it applies to men too.. doesn't mean you are getting married means you can go and do a "Hangover" and hire strippers and have sex with total strangers. If you love and respect your wife to be, you will not hurt her by doing such stupid things.

New Year's Eve Party 2012

Had a New Year's Eve party at my house with Nat, A380, Le bf, Yaya & Joyce!

Prepared some food for them and they also brought some food over. :)

We had such a blast playing Just Dance on Le bf's Wii! Joyce is our dancing queen cos she kept hitting the high scores! Wheee!

Chloe's fur is growing back! She's so fluffy now and very nice to hug. :)

Everyone stayed till after midnight where we pop a bottle of bubbly and toasted to a new year. It's nice to spend time with close ones during festive seasons at home, having a good conversation  playing games and not squeeze with smelly people outside. Thank you guys for coming!

Christmas Party 2012

Just a short post before I go to sleep.. Very very exhausted right now.. Yesterday night I spent the night at Ah Mah's wake with Le bf, his sisters and a friend of Cheryl's..

We left around 8am and by the time we bathed and got ready, it was nearly 9am!

We needed to be at Nat's house by 2pm but both of us were so exhausted, we slept and ignored the alarm clocks.. I woke up around 1.30pm but I still need to prepare cos I am bringing food over for the party.. Made the Korean BBQ Pork and Spaghetti, called Wany for help to buy the salad, packed up everything including all the presents and Le bf cheong drive us down. Reached around 3.30pm and we could only stay till 6pm cos we need to rush back to the wake for the prayer rites thingy.. Today was the shortest party we ever had! 2.5hours only!

I love the fairy lights and the blue ribbons! I thought he bought too many decorations but turned out his tree is so big that they look just nice! Not too many to clutter up the tree! He still thinks it's not enough and wants to buy more stuff to put on the tree. Someone please strangle him! The tree is gonna die soon and he still wants to buy more stuff to add onto it!

This year I spent the most on Xmas presents! Though I only receive very few back, but it's the joy in giving that counts.. not receiving.

Also gave the rest their Christmas presents but no chance for photos cos everything was in a rush! We had to eat, exchange presents, cut cake all in 2hours! Crazy crazy!

Had lots of fun though it's such an express whirlwind party! Hope to have a proper makeup party/gathering soon!

Joyce's Birthday Celebration at Swissotel Stamford

Yesterday we had a birthday celebration for Joyce at Swissotel! Our plans were to have High Tea at Equinox, than check into our room at 5pm followed by an after high-tea party with the rest of the "San Ba Fu Nu Club"!

Yaya was supposed to join us but she had something on at the last minute so it's just me, Le bf and Joyce!

Joyce kept going "Wahhhhhhhh..." at the desserts. Hee!

Somehow even with bags and bags of shopping, he managed to buy the birthday cake that I instructed him to buy for Joyce. I gave him a budget of $50 and he went to his favourite shop to buy for her.. I think he went down personally to the shop which was out of his way to buy the cake. Wahhhh.

We hide the cake under his shopping bags, which is a blessing in disguise cos he had so many bags that Joyce did not suspect that one of them is the birthday cake. Hahahahahahaha! Then we sneaked off to the toilet to prepare the candles for Joyce while the rest are engrossed in watching "White Chicks" on HBO.

During my birthday party in October, we found out that there are many yummy food at the basement of Raffles City Shopping Centre and we bought a lot back.. This time we really whack again! Le bf stayed in the room and the rest of us went down and split up to buy stuff so we can gather the most food in the shortest possible time! Wahahahhaaha!

Our hunt ended and these are what we got!

Initially was me and Yaya share one bed, but when Yaya went to bath, Joyce got scared of being alone in her bed and came over to my side to snuggle with me.. When Yaya came back, Joyce was too comfortable to move back to her bed.. So in the end I slept with Joyce and Yaya slept alone. Hahahahaha!

Last night, Yaya was super hyper and energetic after her bath!! Out of the three, I was struggling like crazy to keep awake cos I had to work from 6am-3pm than rushed to Swissotel for the High Tea and after party.. The day before I only slept for 4hrs, so imagine my fatigue level. I am getting older so it's getting harder for me to survive on little or no sleep. I was drifting off but forcing myself to stay awake to listen to them chatting and trying to join in but I think I doze off halfway. Major fail cos I used to be the last girl standing when we were younger and doing projects through the night.

Today I was the first to wake up though, cos I am used to waking up early for work.. also there were loud music playing outside and I wanted to find out what's going on.. Opened the curtains, went out on the balcony and saw there's a lot of people! And the stupid DJ was playing Gangnam Style nonstop. Wah lao.. 

Went to bath and woke the others to get ready cos we are going for breakfast! :)

Had buffet breakfast at Fairmont's Prego restaurant. 

Our room rate did not include breakfast, but I used Le bf's FAR card for the discount! For 3 people it's 33% discount instead of 50%. The discount is actually based on the cardmember eating for free. Meaning if there's 2 people, than you only pay for 1 person = 50% off. If there are 3 people, the cardmember need not pay, that's why it's 33%. But with the discount it's worth it! Bill came up to around SGD90 plus taxes for 3 people. ^_^ There's fresh fruit juices and you can even request what combination you want!

The selection was not bad too.. Chinese, western, Eggs station, etc.

Then, we went back to our room to pack up and wait for Le bf to come.. he went to church so he joined us around 11am.. Yaya had to leave for a wedding lunch so it's just the 3 of us.. Guess what we did when we checked out? YES! EAT AGAIN!

Joyce wanted to eat Sushi Tei so we went there for lunch! This girl refused to let us pay for our share lah! Haiyooo!! But thank you for the lunch treat girl! That's 2 times liao!!

The stay was good! And we enjoyed ourselves a lot I had a good rate with the hotel as I am a member under the Travel Agent's scheme. Yes, working in my line has got some perks (not a lot, but better than nothing..). Actually we feel that Fairmont Hotel is better, but unfortunately they are sold out.

Glad that we had a proper celebration for Joyce this year cos we don't seem to have one for her every year due to something that crops up last minute and schedule conflicts.

After lunch we went to do some shopping before Joyce cabbed home and Le bf and I went back to his place. Love the random things he do like kissing me or stealing hugs from me when no one is looking.. He's so sweet. Love him lots!
