Taiwan Trip [28Dec-04Jan2011]

It's been 3 months++ since I came back from Taiwan! Hahahaha! And finally here's my blog entry.. I've divided the Taiwan post into 8 different categories:
  1. Yoho Beach Resort
  2. Luminous Hot Spring Resort & Spa
  3. Shangrila Leisure Farm
  4. Sun Moon Lake & Wen Wu Temple
  5. Fireworks!
  6. Night Market Nom Noms
  7. Chuifen Old Street
  8. Hair Dye!
Woah it's super time consuming! I think it's easier to dump all the photos on Facebook.. Hahaha!

I didn't divide into the number of days like Day 1, to Day 8.. cos that's too tiring. :P Hope you enjoy it! ^^

Yoho Beach Resort @ Kenting

31 December 2010

Spent New Year's Eve at Yoho Beach Resort!

Stayed on the 2nd floor~

Giant room again! :)

Free peanuts..

The bathtub is "in the ground".. Very low and very fun. Haha!

Explored the hotel grounds.. it was huge!

Bought fish food!

Pretty hut! I threw fish food in the corner to lure the fishes there so I can take picture.. Hahaha!

:D

Continued exploring exploring...

This place was used as a backdrop in a famous Taiwanese movie.. Cape No 7.

^^

Luminous Hot Spring Resort & Spa @ Taitung

Luminous Hot Spring Resort is a 5 star resort..

The sign welcoming our customers to dinner..

My dinner is different from them. Ours is a set dinner though we can ask for unlimited refills. Our customers' dinners were a 8 course sit down dinner.

Bought cakes for supper. :D

My giant room! :) Love!

^^

Balcony!

Toilet overlooking the balcony~

Hot spring in your room yo!

Soak soak soak! Shiok shiok shiok! :)

Shangrila Leisure Farm @ Yilan

We checked into the new wing of the Shangrila Leisure Farm at Yilan.. It's fab, with a pretty mountainside view and two bed double beds..

Best thing was, it has a bathtub overlooking the mountainside as well!

Pretty? :)

One of the resort's rep brought us for a nature hike around the area and show us all the pretty view. Our rooms are the ones with the red roofs. :)

We went fruit picking! Oranges!

It's kinda dangerous cos there's no fencing and the slopes are quite steep.. so if you miss one step... dum dum dum dum.. Off you roll!

Romantic places for photoshoots!

Swing swing~

Everything is made of wood.. super nice!

Nice place for tea! :)

Next the rep made the group walk across a rope bridge.. some of them dropped their cameras and coins! T_T" I had to go and search for them in the grass..

The resort also sells fireworks which I bought and played with.. Quite expensive, around S$20 to S$40 for the large ones.. Video in my next entry! :)

Pet pig.. I fed him cookies! Haha!

At night, there were activities like releasing the sky lantern and other games.. the food were not that fantastic, but the air is very fresh and the rooms are beautiful! :)

Sun Moon Lake & Wen Wu Temple

Sun Moon Lake is situated in Nantou County’s Yuchih Township, in the center of Taiwan, and is the Taiwan's largest lake.

The eastern part of the lake is round like the sun and the western side is shaped like a crescent moon thus the name “Sun Moon Lake”.

We were at the lake in the late morning and took a leisurely cruise..

This is the traditional way of fishing in the lake.
The famous fish from the lake is "President Fish" because the former president loved it alot.. It's very expensive cos it's rare and very difficult to catch.

This is termed the Little Dubai Hotel, and apparently the sail is made out of solid gold.. Which I don't believe at all. Boo.

The tiny Lalu Island!

It was opened to public but now it's closed as it's slowly sinking.. So we can only cruise around it..

Entrance to Wen Wu Temple

Nice decorations for the New Year!

Old Ah Mah selling chicken & duck eggs..

Yummy Tea Eggs! :)

Fireworks in Taiwan

31 December 2010

It's New Year's Eve and my guide and driver decided to drive us to a deserted field to play with fireworks! :D

Look at all the fireworks and firecrackers!

The driver has bought the fireworks in bulk so our customers can save money in buying from him... We set up a mini stall at my seat and our customers will come and choose what they want and buy it from me..

It's super windy and cold outside so I hid in the coach.. Moreover both my guide and driver are very cheeky and they like to disturb and tease me and scare me with the fireworks so it's safer to hide in the coach.. Haha!

This is the video I took on NYE at the deserted carpark.

This is the video I took at Shangrila Farm where me and a couple, Carol and her hubby bought some fireworks and played with it at the carpark.. which was not deserted.. hahaha! So any moment the cars are in danger of being destroyed by the fireworks.. Hahaha!
