House Party

Santi & Welly are leaving today to go back to Indonesia. Sad max. I organised a farewell party for them yesterday night at my place.. I don't know when I will see them again because they are not coming back to Singapore indefinitely. They are starting their own business in a city in Indonesia.. Sigh.

They came earlier to cook their signature spaghetti dish that they made during Xmas last year that left all the guests wanting more. :)

I made it a Potluck Party so everyone can cook/bring their own dish but most of them were either too busy or lazy to cook that we chipped in to order snacks from Perkies! The lady boss delivered the food herself and she was really friendly! Prices are reasonable too. :) Brendan's cousin, Ryan cooked Sweet & Sour Pork and my sister brought Pandan Chicken. Yummeh max!

Le bf is missing because he's upstairs in my room helping Welly set up his new TomTom GPS device which was a belated birthday gift from me. :) I owed him a present since December last year and I didn't know what to buy for him until he told le bf to help him buy a TomTom device since we were going to the IT Fair and he did not have time to go. It's quite cheap.. only $149 with lifetime maps for Asia without subscription! Good buy!

Today is a crazy day of eating eating eating. I seriously don't know how to slim down in time to be a bridesmaid for Tabitha's wedding next January. Sigh.

Quite silly actually.. If you go as a couple, you get 1 pot. If you have 4 persons, also 1 pot and any additional pot is $5 more. Why the double standards? Stupid. But we heck care and just ordered another pot.

After lunch & desserts, I went for my dental appointment at Toof Doctor Tanjong Pagar while the couple went shopping.. My sister accompanied me and we cabbed home after buying some stuff at NTUC. That cab ride is the 3rd one she took with me today and she's shocked at the frequency of my cab rides.

Afterwards le bf sent all of them home while I went back to sleep... Tomorrow and Saturday are my off days too cos my colleagues swapped with me! 3 days! YIPPEE! I am gonna stay home and sleep the whole day tomorrow and also clean the house to prepare for Saturday's party. Gonna throw a Farewell party for Santi & Welly! :) Updates soon!

Din Tai Fung & Sogurt at Nex

Met Welly & Santi for dinner today! Brendan came to my office to pick me up (Thanks dear!) and we went back to my place to park the car then walked to Nex Mall. I am staying very near Nex, around 5 mins walk and usually he will park at my house cos the parking at Nex is atrocious.. moreover it's free parking at my house. :)

We met them at Din Tai Fung cos Welly always wanted to try the Xiao Long Baos there but didn't have a chance to. Previously I asked him to go for lunch there but he wanted to wait for Santi to go together (so tianmimi) cos she was on a tour to Taiwan and couldn't go with us.

Anyways, the long awaited dinner has finally arrived and it's a double date! :)

Belated House-warming gift from Santi & Welly!

They weren't able to attend my house warming in April, nor helped me move house cos they were in Indonesia. Santi said this Tupperware series is limited edition and though it's lifetime warranty, if I damage it they may only replace it with the normal type if these are sold out... Shows you how well they know my tendency to break stuff, even hardy stuff like Tupperware. =.=

I was telling my sister the difference between Tupperware and normal plastic containers. She is so brainwashed by marketing campaigns that she cannot tell the difference between the product and the brand. Tupperware is a brand and the plastic containers without the brand is just plain containers but people are used to calling them "Tupperware". Likewise for Pampers. It's diapers but people are used to saying "Pampers". We all substitute brands for the products because of strong marketing campaigns.. and I guess they really work because a lot of people can't tell the difference anymore for many products.

Chili's at RWS

I am super happy today cos Santi & Welly are back for a visit! 

The sad thing is they will only be here for 1 week cos they have to travel back to Pekanbaru to prepare for their new business. They are from different cities and they are setting up business in Pekanbaru which is not any of their hometowns so it's gonna be tough for them.. But at least they don't have to deal with a long distance relationship cos it's around 1.5hours by flight plus a few hours car journey between them if they stay in their hometowns instead.

It's been almost 6 months since I last saw the both of them.. I MISS THEM SO MUCH! It's crazy cos we spend a lot of time together when they are in Singapore previously and suddenly when they went back to Indonesia, I lost 2 close friends! Sigh. 

Welly said Brendan is a good replacement for them.. and he is super happy for the both of us because he is the original "Ringleader" of the BC Gang (aka Brendan Chew Gang). He started recruiting people into his gang that supports the two of us to be in a relationship. Quite silly but very funny. Haha! Brendan is super surprised when he heard about BC Gang because he did not expect such overwhelming support from my closest friends. 

They arrived from Batam by ferry (took flights to Batam). I asked them to take the later ferry that will reach around 8pm cos I finish work at 8pm and we can go out for dinner together then Brendan can send them home.. So, Brendan came to my office to pick me up and we went to pick them up at Harbourfront.. 

We brought them to RWS Chili's for a dinner treat! :)

We chatted until the restaurant closes around midnight.. afterwards we went back to the car where Welly opened up the carton boxes and started distributing food to me and Brendan. I requested for a box of Indomee cos Brendan likes to eat that particular flavour and he really bought one box back! They also bought many other snacks like keropok, nuts, etc.. ^_^ Super nice of them!

I hope to be able to spend more time with them this week! They have to run their own errands and also meet up with their other friends too, but I will try my best to monopolize as much of their time as possible! Heehee!
