Strawberry Picking, Bullsbrook Perth

Ti Strawberry Farm
263 Old West Road, Bullsbrook

I wanted to do something special and fun on our actual wedding anniversary day on 28 September.. just happens that it was strawberry picking season so that's what we decided to do! We went for breakfast then drove over to the strawberry farm.

It was around 1hr drive from our breakfast place so I was sleeping in the car. Thank God Le hubby loves driving. He don't mind driving for hours and hours. I hate driving.. I only drive when it's absolutely necessary, like when there's no one around who could drive and I need to get somewhere and the only transport is by car. Hahahaha!

It opens at 9am and we arrived at 10am.. there was already a long queue when we were there! Because there's not much trees and no shelter, it was really hot. I can't imagine how hot it will be at 12noon when the sun is up in full force.

There is 2 portable toilets at the entrance.. I will recommend you go to the toilets before driving here. Use the portable toilets only when you really have to cos it's super dodgy. -_-

It's $10 for a PYO (pick your own) tray that admits 1 person. Any additional person is $2. If you have more than 5 people in your group you need to buy an additional tray for $10.

The tray is quite big and you can fill it up as much as you want. I see families holding one box with a mountain of strawberries that they are overflowing out and they had to use a towel to cover them to secure them. Actually if you bring your own containers or plastic bags to tabao the strawberries, no one will stop you from leaving.... but please don't do that!

The farm is huge! As far as the eye can see.. it's strawberry fields!

Le hubby and I split up and picked the strawberries from different lanes.

Le hubby refused to put on sunblock and he got sunburnt, especially at the neck area because we had to bend down to pick the strawberries. See lah.. stubborn then get burnt.

Mission accomplished!
ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ

The queues are perpetually long!

Noticed my black hands and legs?

There are no footpaths and the area is full of black sand. I had to bend down to pick the strawberries.. Sunblock + perspiration = black limbs. Hahahahahaha! I totally wore the wrong shoes lah. My Melissa shoes cannot withstand the heat from the sand and it was so uncomfortable cos my feet were burning. It was like walking on coals or something..

The smallest ones we picked!

Look at the size difference!

Here's our loot! ೭੧(❛▿❛✿)੭೨

We just filled up half of the box because we can't finish all of them by ourselves. Tabby & Doug were not in Perth and there were still strawberries that Tabby bought from the supermarket in the fridge at their home.. hahaha! In the end we had some and we tabao some of the firmer ones back to Singapore for my sister.

Overall we had lots of fun! Highly recommended activity!
