Hello Kitty Robot Exhibition (Suntec)

We went to the Robot Kitty Exhibition at Suntec City yesterday!

It's until 21June so there's almost a week left!
The admission ticket is $28 and the Robot Kitty is $38. All excludes GST. If you buy the Groupon (that's what we did) it's only $51 nett. And new sign ups get $10 off so I ended up paying $41 per person. #auntyjasmine
You can get the tickets at the entrance, or buy a Groupon (cheaper) If you missed the early bird deal.

Initially I wanted to skip this event cos the games are those electronic and computerised types so I didn't buy the early bird tickets or did any pre-order for the merchandise (30% off!).

But yesterday one of the organisers messaged Le hubby and asked why he did not see us at the event and Le hubby said "cos no fishing". Hahahahahaha!

We made a trip there last night just to support him!
He was very friendly to us last year when we went for the Hello Kitty Go Around Singapore event at RWS and even though I won over 100 dolls (over 3 days), he was still very nice and encouraged me to play more instead of face black black.

When we visited last night we catch up a bit and saw his young daughter too! Because we got tired after a few rounds of playing, his daughter helped us play! Hahahha! So nice got helper one.
There are 5 game stations inside. For every game you win, you will get coins aka "Koins" that will be accumulated in the RFID chip in your Robot Kitty.

All the games super cute and the difficulty is infant mode. Seriously. After trying out 2 stations, I gave up and made Le hubby play for me because it's toooooo easy.

They really want you to win the points to redeem the accessories. But you definitely have to recharge to earn more points because there's a max limit on how much you can win.
You have to play games to earn "Koins" to redeem for exclusive accessories to customise your Hello Kitty Robot.

There are two colours of the Hello Kitty Robot. White or Black. I took both white cos black is not the original colour even though it's "limited edition". But I saw many people buying the black one (same price at $38).
Our two white Robot kitties!

If you don't buy the Robot kitties, you can still play the games but you don't get to redeem any accessories in the end even if you won the points. You must buy the Robot Kitty to redeem for accessories.
I tried playing this game and I was stepping on the pedal furiously when the girl panicked and told me don't be so violent, just aim the thing and step gently. Lololol!

Sorry ah! When it comes to games I'm very competitive and crazy one. Hahaha!

Other than this game I only tried the jackpot game at the end (got 52 points x 5 jackpot! Woo!).

For the rest of the games, I made Le hubby play for me. Hahahahaha!
Each station lets you win a maximum of 50 points.

At the very last station is a Jackpot game which allows you to multiply the score by 0.5 times to 5 times. So if you get 50 points and win the x 5 jackpot, that's 250 points!

Maximum per round you can earn around 450 points.

If you finished one round you can recharge for $16.05 and go again.
Bad Badz maru want to be a Kitty too. Hahahaha! It's so weird but funny!
The detailing of the exhibits were very good. Everything was also well made. Lots of photo ops!
Le hubby won the Robot wings (350points)!

It's actually easy to win points, the difficult part is getting the exact accessory that you want. Because getting the points doesn't guarantee you the accessory, only gives you a chance to spin in that category and it's up to luck if you get the item you want. So you can have lots of points but still not the accessory you want if your luck isn't very good.

And that's the reason why I see hardcore people running around playing nonstop.
I won the rose gold helmet (650 points) and rose gold wing (650 points). SO LUCKY! 🍀

Missing the rose gold shoes (650 points) to get the full set, but nevermind lah!! It's not worth the time and money to gamble for it. And I just like these two items. 😊

So lucky to get all the accessories I wanted! I also wanted a silver helmet (350 points) but I didn't have enough points and I didn't wanna play anymore cos even though it's easy, it's very tiring going around the stations. (I old liao 😂)
I overhead a woman who spent 6 hours with her husband just running around non stop to play games to clock up the points and spent a few hundred dollars. Wahhhhh! 😅

Also spotted a group of people around our age recharging like crazy and going around to clock points for the accessories. They also spent few hundred dollars.

There was a friendly couple who wanted to exchange their helmet with our wing cos they couldn't get one but I declined cos I really like the wings. Sorry guys!
There are also exclusive merchandise which only ticket holders can buy. If you preorder them you get 30% off! Too bad I did not preorder any because I didn't plan to come to this event.

The LED umbrella, Keychain and luggage are my favourite items!

Kyushu Pancake Cafe

Wany always wanted to try the pancakes at Kyushu Pancake Cafe so we decided to go together.
Actually i'm not really excited about cafes in Singapore. I've been to quite a number of them, even the wildly popular and super overrated ones... None of them are actually good enough for me to want to go back regularly.

Maybe it's cos I've had better coffee & food in overseas cafes that's why I'm so fussy? Moreover we have good coffee & food in hawker centres at a fraction of the price!
You have to place your order at the cashier and pay first.

Nat was fascinated by the cups cos he is a sucker for pastel colours. The staff were very nice to let us choose the cup's colour we want for our drinks.

I had the fruit tea (too sweet), Wany had the hot milk tea and Nat had a coffee.
Kyushu Pancake Cafe
Matcha Mont Blanc.

This was overly sweet. I don't like it too. This dish was the "fastest" among the 4 dishes to be served. We waited 45mins for this.
Kyushu Pancake Cafe
Matcha Tiramisu.

This was overly sweet. I don't like it. Le hubby ordered this and he said it's not filling at all. He ate half of my waffle and chicken. Hahahhaa!

We waited 55mins for this dish.
Kyushu Pancake Cafe
Karaage Chicken Waffle.

The only dish that I liked. And luckily this is what I ordered. But it took 1hr to appear on the table.
Kyushu Pancake Cafe
This is the sampler platter. It's quite worth it cos you get to try their waffle, pancakes and toast.

Surprisingly for a cafe that has "Pancake" on it's signboard, their pancakes were lacklustre and totally didn't live up to the hype. Waffles and toast were better (but not fantastic).

The staff told us it takes 30mins to prepare this dish.. But it actually took 1hr10mins!!!!

The kitchen is so slow!! Why do they need so long to make pancakes which takes a few minutes to cook!!!
While waiting for our food (1hr) there were people leaving the queue outside cos they got impatient. And there were empty tables inside the cafe. Because of the long wait times for the food (other tables were also waiting very long), the turnover is very slow.

I wonder how long can they remain in business if it continues like that...

As for me, I'm never going back again. The food is too sweet for me and waiting 1hr for pancakes (which is not even that delicious) is just ridiculous.
