RSPCA Million Paws Walk 2016

I find it amazing that the dogs can tell which day it is because every Sunday they will wake up extra early. I sleep together with them and they are really well behaved and don't disturb my sleep. Usually when I wake up at around 5.45am they will still be snoozing in bed with me, but on Sunday mornings they will be super alert and hovering around me waiting for me to wake up. When I open my eyes I can see 3 furry faces looming over mine with big grins on their faces. I can just imagine them saying "YAY! SHE IS AWAKE! TIME TO GO TO THE PET CAFE!!!"

Today they thought they are going to the Pet Cafe but we brought them to the RSPCA Million Paws Walk first in the morning before heading to the Pet Cafe. They became so excited when we turned into the parking area because they noticed that it's a new place and there are many dogs around.

We didn't buy tickets in advance because I didn't know about the walk until my manager who lives in Perth told me about it. We planned to buy tickets at the entrance and it's $20 per human. It's quite expensive but the proceeds go to charity. While parking our car, a very nice lady approached us and gave us a free ticket because her friend couldn't make it. I wanted to pay her for it but she refused my money, so we only need to buy 1 ticket! Le hubby said I am so lucky to always meet such nice people.. told him to do good unto others and it will come back. It's my mantra to be nice that's why I always meet nice people! :)

Benji & Coco are very coperative in taking photos but Finn is lost in his own world. We had to keep them on the leash because there's many people around.

Waiting at the eating area for my manager & her partner.

My manager with her dog Wagsy! Remember her?

Finn insisted in being held by Le hubby. Hug hug hugs!

Beautiful weather with an awesome view of the city skyline!

With my manager & her partner

The 3 doggies! Fluffy butts!

Coco & me!

OMG LOOK AT BENJI'S FACE! SO CUTE!!

Finn is very focused during the walk. Le hubby said he followed the white line on the path and walked in a super straight line.

We bumped into Tabby's friends who recognised the dogs! I sent Tabby the photos and she said her friends help to dog-sit so they love them very much.

Group picture!

Afterwards we headed to the Pet Cafe for a while before heading home! The 3 of them were so exhausted that they nap the entire day. (‐^▽^‐)

Le hubby is in Perth!

Super pretty sunset view!

Le hubby is here! And his request for his 1st meal is...
MCDONALD'S!

Are you even surprised? He is like the Mcdonald ambassador and he will eat Mcdonald as often as he can if I don't stop him. -__-

Ordered the loaded fries with cheese and bacon. It looks good but the cheese tasted really artificial and the bacon is so salty. I couldn't finish it.

Finn pounced on him and refused to let go. Hahahahahaha! It's Finn's first time seeing Brendan but he is just super duper friendly with anyone. Finn was so excited when he saw Le hubby and his expressions was like "MY NEW FRIEND! YOU ARE MINEEEEE!!!". He stuck to Le hubby like glue.. I think maybe he has pouncing withdrawal because when Doug is around he will pounce on Doug and demand for hugs and when I was alone he tried doing that with me but I was very firm with him because he's so heavy and it's quite painful when he suddenly just jumps on me. He learns that I am not a pouncing-on type of person so he is super happy that he has someone new that he can pounce on. LOLOLOL!

Benji gave him the courtesy tail wag hello and practically ignored him afterwards. Le hubby said he's used to it cos Benji only loves me and not him. Hahahaha! TOO BAD! Heeheeheee.

Coco is very shy and she's extremely timid towards men. If you are a guy, you really have to gain her trust before she will even let you touch her. Usually she will hide behind me and only go near him after 1-2 days but she's really brave this time and let him pet her! Big achievement! Well done Coco!

Le hubby's favourite dog is Coco cos he has to earn her affection. And also it's impossible to earn affection from Benji cos he's the bossman and he don't do affection. I'm just lucky that I got the chance to take care of him when he was a puppy so he loves and trusts me a lot.

We are bringing the dogs to the Million Paws Walk on Sunday! Really excited! o(*^▽^*)o

Last minute shopping!!!

After our Swan Valley adventure, we went for Korean food! I just randomly look through the Zomato app to look for the nearest Korean restaurant with good reviews. It was quite empty though so we were wondering if the reviews were real..... but it turns out most of the diners were seated outside cos they were having BBQ. We sat indoors cos we just wanted a hot pot of army stew!

Waiting impatiently for the soup to boil. Haha!

It's good enough to satisfy our cravings for something hot & spicy cos we were feeling cold, but the food was not really fantastic and the service was really slow so I will not mention the restaurant. Afterwards we went to the supermarket for more shopping because Wany is going back to Singapore!

No! You cannot buy this big bucket of cheese! It's too big!

She bought a lot of milo powder, cheese, chia seeds and other stuff for her mother & sister. We spent the evening packing and luckily I managed to find some empty boxes in the house for her cos her luggage was full. Hahahahaha!

The next day we went out for breakfast and some last minute shopping before heading home to pack and then we left for the airport.

She came to Perth with 1 luggage, go back with 2 luggage & 2 boxes! Haha! One of the box is the puppy's training pads and we got weird looks from fellow passengers at the airport cos they thought she really buy dog pee pads back to Singapore. Judge all you want people.... inside is milo cans! LOL!

Sunset view on the drive back home!

Very lazy to cook so it's Spicy Korean ramen for dinner.

For desserts I ate some frozen mangoes with a stick of paddlepop rainbow icecream! The paddlepop in Australia is the bomb! The ones in Singapore tastes super artificial and got this weird chemical smell.. but the ones in Australia... Sooo good! I always eat paddlepop when I am here. Wany loves it too and she loves it to much that she tabao 1 in a plastic cup (so it won't drip) to eat in the car on the way to the airport. Damn funny!

I am alone in the house and Benji is being very affectionate!

He doesn't do this when there are other humans or dogs around cos he likes to act cool and maintain his image as a bossman. Coco & Finn were outside chewing on their bones and Benji came in to snuggle with me and lay on my tummy while I was watching TV. The moment Coco came in, he jumped off and pretended nothing happened. He's too funny and cracks me up with his antics lah!

Le hubby will be arriving in a few days! Meanwhile it's just me and the doggies! :)

Perth's Swan Valley

Swan Valley is actually located very near the city center, just a 20mins drive away. There are a lot of things to do and see there, and if you are a wine lover you will love the place cos there's a lot of wineries there. Even if you are not into alcohol, like the 2 of us, you should still go because there's many shops to explore! It's actually my 2nd time there (Le hubby hasn't been there before). The last time I visited was during my 1st visit to Perth 8 years ago where Tabby brought me to a Sandalford Winery for lunch!

I managed to dig out an old photo of me & Tabby!

**************

If it's your first time, you should go to the Visitor Centre to pick up a free map and if you have any questions or need help with the itinerary you can ask the helpful staff there to give you some suggestions.

The map looks something like this:
The shops and restaurants are clearly stated and you just need to follow the route! Really simple! Both of us highlighted some of the places we wanna visit and I just drove along the route.

First stop was Morish Nuts! I bought their nuts before from the Perth Royal Show and at Fremantle Market but I've never went to their main store before. It's huge!

Lots of samples for you to try!

See through kitchen where they process the nuts!

We bought so much that we got a bulk discount plus a free cooler bag!

Just beside Morish Nuts is Mondo Nougat!
They are located in the same building.

Super huge and clean kitchen! Love it!

There are lots of different types of nougats for sale.

You can also try before buying! Limit to 1 per person.

Next stop is House of Honey!

Asked a random dude to help us take picture. Haha!

Lots of honey to taste test! I love it cos honey taste very different depending on the flowers and the bee species. If you buy the entire bottle but don't like the taste.. then it's wasted! We tasted more than 10 types of honey and narrowed down to 2 that we really liked and we bought a few big bottles!

There are also other honey products!

Like this honey comb! Yums!

Our shopping loot!

Last stop is the Cheese Barrel!

So many types of cheese!!

My favourite cheese is Wensleydale Cranberry Cheese!
Which is from UK, not Australia. Hahahahaha!

There is a sitting area which overlooks a really nice open field.

I managed to get a good parking lot at the Cheese Barrel in front of the vineyard and I used my camera to take a timed shot of the 2 of us in the vineyard! :) Really happy that the weather is good with cool winds and blue skies!

There are many other shops and restaurants that we didn't had time to cover. Maybe I'll come back again next week when Le Hubby is here! ãƒ¼( ´ ▽ ` )ノ
