Chinese New Year Party!

The moment my Christmas party ended last month, I immediately created a new event for CNY 28-01-12 gathering cos I enjoyed hosting the party so much! :)

Not all of my guests could turn up cos it's CNY after all and they need to go visiting and stuff.. And Santi & Welly are in Indonesia.. *sad* But most of them came and I am really happy! ^^

The timing I put on Facebook was 3pm-3am but as usual, most of my guests love me so much that they will turn up early while I am unprepared T_T"

The night before I had to work till 6am, so I reached home and cleaned the house and cooked my Cheng Ting dessert and it was only about 10.30am before I could go to bed to sleep.. at 1.45pm my first guest called me and tell me she has reached. OMFG. I only had 3hours of sleep and I haven't bath nor prepared the food... 

She loitered around the hawker centre while I cheong bath and prepared the house.. than my sister and Nathaniel arrived around 2.15pm...  So 3 of them sat around while I rushed downstairs to go and collect the Fried Wanton I ordered..

First thing my sister did was to take the icecream..

I bought 6 pints of icecream to serve my guest and left a bit in the coffee pint for her cos it's her favourite flavour. I prefer Macadamia Nut Brittle & Caramel Biscuit. :)

Next, Vivien and Tim arrived and they munched on the wanton and chatted.. All of them are my CTC colleagues and all of them arrived first! Wah!

Yaya came with a giant plastic bag.. and inside is the Yusheng from Yhingthai Palace! Thank you Yaya! :)

Adeline is a surprise guest.. Yaya brought her along and messaged me telling me she has a surprise guest.. The moment I see Adeline I was like "Umm.. We went to the same school right? SP? What's your name ah? Heh!".. Hahahahhahaaha!

I ordered Strawberry & Orange cheesehearts.. total of 5 boxes. :)

I think that's my sister's hand.. -_-

Chloe was smiling when she was taking pictures with them and my sister was jealous cos Chloe was grouchy the whole night.. Actually it's my fault cos I was supposed to give her a bath but I was too tired and Chloe was kinda dirty and since she's such a clean freak, she became really grouchy.. Hahahaha!

Yaya told them I like the Strawberry Shortcake from Canele and they RAN there to buy! OMG! Super sweet of them! :) I had this for breakfast the next day.

I can't wait for the next time I can host another party! Maybe Chloe's birthday in March? ^^

Dinner at Canelé Pâtisserie

Had craving for Chicken Caesar salad from Canele so I bugged Brendan to go with me to satisfy my craving. :)

We went back to the same place at Shaw Lido's outlet cos it's the quietest outlet I've been to so far with little people.. The place was relatively quiet, with only 2 tables filled.. however after we were seated, the place became fully packed in the span of like 15mins? Wah.. O_O

Ooh, the Cabonara pasta is damn good. My chilli crab pasta is so so only. I kept stealing his pasta.. In the end I made him change his with mine. Wahahahhahaa!

He's wearing the new shirt I bought last Saturday from Fred Perry! :) This boy did not plan to shop for CNY clothes and I insisted in bringing him shopping to at least buy something.. Well, black is not really auspicious, but he's not superstitious, so it's fine.

We watched "Girl with a Dragon Tattoo" after our dinner. I think the original version should be better cos this Hollywood version is kinda slow-paced and my attention kinda drifted off for a while cos it's quite boring at some parts.. Not much action or geeky stuff.

Brendan was kinda mindfucked by the movie and he went to google to find out more about the plot! T_T" He was kinda confused between the Swedish book "Girl with Dragon Tattoo" with the Japanese book "Yakuza Moon" which he thought was the same title.

Christmas Party 2011

My party was held on 24 December 2011 (Saturday) and I invited a few of my close friends over for a small gathering.. I did not invite a lot of people cos my house is really small and it cannot accommodate so many people at one go. 

When I say it's small, it's really small. The bathroom at the suite we stayed in St Regis was bigger than the whole of my bedroom plus living room. Madness right?

I am the host of the party, but Chloe is the star of the party.. as usual.

Santi put Chloe in her new Longchamp bag which I helped her buy in Paris. :)

Santi and Welly came earlier than the rest.. the three of us went to Bugis Junction to pick up the sushi and buy food/groceries for the party. They also prepared pasta and brought it for me! :) So nice of them!!

So after buying all the stuff, we cabbed back to my place and started setting up and preparing all the food.

Playing Ice Cream Tower~

We also played BlackJack where Debbie is the big winner. She's really lucky in gambling! :) It was Welly's first time playing and when Debbie opened his cards, she kinda got mindfucked cos Welly had two picture cards and 1 Ace card. Apparently he got BlackJack and he still go and take another card thinking he doesn't have enough points.. =_= Everyone laughed like mad! Hahahaha!

Christmas Log Cake

Nathaniel said he wanted to bring a cake but he did not confirm with me the night before so I kinda panicked and planned to go and buy one but coincidentally my office was having a party and there were THREE extra log cakes so I took home the one that looks the nicest. :)

After most of the guests left, I told Welly I was hungry cos I seldom eat when guests are around.. too busy replenishing food/drinks and making sure everyone was eating.. and Welly cooked porridge for me! :) Using the leftover roast chicken and my japanese rice! Super wen-xin feeling.

We had a silly countdown at 12midnight where the remaining guests stared at their phones and yelled MERRY CHRISTMAS the moment the time hits 0000hrs on their phone.. Than we banded together and year 5,4,3,2,1 MERRY CHRISTMAS again as a group. Hahahhahaha! Most of them left afterwards, with only Wany, Yaya and Nathaniel staying from 1am till 6am to accompany me to chitchat talkcock singsong before I chased them home cos I have to work on the Sunday at 5pm.

It was a super fun party! Thank you all for attending!
