The King Louis Grill @ Vivocity

Went to Vivocity to watch this movie with Pipimon today.

Considering it's a Sunday evening, 6.30pm show and the cinema is only 3 rows filled at GVMax, I think that is a very bad sign..

The movie was soo bad, we nearly went crazy. Couldn't wait for the show to end. It's a utter waste of time and money to watch this stupid show.

After the movie, I decided to go for dinner at King Louis just beside Daiso.

It's located beside Daiso, and previously was occupied by Hog's Breath Cafe.

We went to HBC before it closed down but we walked out before ordering cos their service sucks to the core... which is also maybe why they didn't last and closed down. Serves them right.

The menu was super super thick and there were lots of selection!

Service was fast! Our mushroom soup were served within 5 mins from order time, and our mains were served within 10-15min of waiting.. and I find it dubious at first, than realized that most of their food should be pre-prepared so maybe they just heat it up and serve that's why it's so damn fast.

The mushroom soup was nice, but it was not piping hot. :(

Pipimon ordered the Fish & Chips!

The curly fries were additional S$1.50 add-on (Usual side is potato wedges) and they were not fried enough. It was under-cooked.. I guess the oil wasn't hot enough or they didn't fry it long enough. The fish was passable, but Pipimon prefers it to be more crispier.. it was kinda soggy.

I ordered half-slab baby back ribs..

The ribs were uber tough. I think they either overcooked it or it's reheated several times.. I don't know. Even the Cafe Cartel ribs were better... Of cos, Chili's serve the best ribs. :) I kinda regretted this choice. The baked potato was a S$2.50 add-on, which was quite a rip off. And the amount coleslaw was so minimal that I rather them omitting it out.

Will I go back again? Hmm.. MAYBE. Cos the ambiance was nice and service was good. But we will not order the same dishes again.
